A virtual Mastercard, sometimes called a virtual debit card, is just like a regular Mastercard, only delivered via SMS and activated using the Vault app. Once activated, your virtual Mastercard is added to your phone’s digital wallet. This creates a virtual payment card that acts as a debit card, stored virtually through your phone or mobile app, and can be used the same way as your other virtual debit or credit cards.
